Qualcomm is already talking to Smartron to bring the Snapdragon 835-powered laptops with cellular connectivity. As per an Economics Times report, Senior Director - Product Management, Miguel Nunes commented, "We have talked with Jio".
HP, ASUS and Lenovo have already partnered with it for the 'Always Connected PC'. Qualcomm is closely associated with Reliance Jio and Retail, for its business of 4G feature phone. Moving into the laptop arena with bundled 4G services could improve its average revenue per user.
Jio is most likely to bundle these laptops with data and content. A report by ETTelecom says that Reliance Jio is in talks with Qualcomm to bring new laptops with cellular connectivity. The Internet is the backbone of nearly every computing and smart devices. The proposed laptop will not require any Wifi connection and USB data card to connect to the Internet.

"Reliance Jio is in discussion with MUFG (formerly The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ), Mizuho Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to raise $500 million", sources in the know of the development told PTI.
Reliance Jio's entry into the ailing PC market is being hailed as a huge deal and could rejuvenate the lost interest in laptops. It will also be favourable for those users who have to bear separate tariffs for their wi-fi and 4G recharges.
