The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for Sullivan, Johnson, Russell and Washington counties, as well as the city of Bristol, Virginia. At 1:20 a.m. Friday, the Central Nebraska Regional Airport in Grand Island reported a peak wind speed of 64 miles per hour. Some storms will produce hail and strong wind gusts. A few storms may be severe, particularly across South Jersey and northern Delaware.
Severe weather sweeping through the area this evening could bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to parts of the Garden State.
Primary threats are lightning and small hail. There is a 50 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will range between the upper 60s to the lower 70s.
MONDAY: Showers and thunderstorms late. Monday night will see a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

While the forecast is long term, the weather service is calling for a return to the 80s by Friday.
