The new AirPods will feature noise cancellation technology and water resistance, according to Bloomberg's unnamed sources. Apple is also looking to increase the distance that AirPods can function away from an iPhone or iPad, the news service reported. Apple's AirPods, which cost $159, have been popular with consumers.
As for the new over-ear headphones, production is yet to start but they are meant to be comparable to "pricey models from Bose Corp. and Sennheiser". Apple has increasingly turned to pricey audio accessories to boost revenue and profit.
