- "Jump Force" is an all-new game that mashes together several different popular anime into a single game, including characters from "Dragonball Z" and "Naruto".
Beyond new games, though, Microsoft announced the acquisition of four game development studios as well as the opening of a new fifth internal studio. The partnership announcement comes alongside the announcement of Forza Horizon 4, a new title in the series.
The new game in the Halo series was revealed with a trailer, although sadly no gameplay footage was shown. Pop is sure to be a cute little distraction that helps boost brand identity for Gears, and the Gears franchise has always seemed ripe for a tactics style game. I would actually say Microsoft's Xbox showcase was one of the best-paced conferences I've seen in a long time.
Of those, 18 titles were tailored exclusively for the Xbox console.
"The longevity of games resulting from the "games as a service" model is also why Xbox is committed to backwards compatibility". Even the remaster of Tales of Vesperia, originally an Xbox 360 exclusive when it first released (eventually it came to PS3, but only in Japan), is coming out for everything else.
