Kudlow, who was in Canada with President Trump for the G-7 meeting, told CNN on Sunday that the US had come to an agreement with the other highly-industrialized nations in the group on a joint communique until Trudeau's "sophomoric play".
Earlier, Trudeau had told reporters that Trump's decision to invoke national security to justify United States tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum was "kind of insulting" to Canadian veterans who had stood by their USA allies in conflicts dating back to World War I.
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Sunday blasted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying there was a "special place in hell" for the foreign leader because he disagrees with President Donald Trump on trade.
Hours after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Saturday that all G-7 nations had agreed to sign on to the communique, Trump rebuked the Canadian leader via Twitter.
The G7 includes the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, the US, France and Japan.
Speaking to CNN today, Trump adviser Larry Kudlow says he personally negotiated with Trudeau during the two-day G7 summit in Quebec's Charlevoix region and insists the USA agreed to the language in the communique in good faith. They also discussed speeding up talks and the future of NAFTA, a Canadian government official said late Friday. Speaking at a post-summit press conference, Trudeau acknowledged that there were major differences with Trump.
"I have every desire to see our negotiations with Canada continue productively and beneficially, but Prime Minister Trudeau is sabotaging that cause by driving both sides into their corners instead of encouraging a more diplomatic dialogue", Krishnamoorthi continued. Trump as a result did not sign onto the joint statement concluding the meeting.
Trudeau said he had told Trump that the talks had been made more complicated by a United States decision to impose tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum, ostensibly for national security reasons.

Hamilton's Silver Arrows team-mate Valtteri Bottas was fifth fastest in first practice , and sixth in the afternoon session. When he brought his Ferrari out for qualifying a day later, his problems - and the rest of the field - were behind him.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said it was wrong for Trump to pull out of the joint G7 communique that would have showed solidarity with America's best allies.
Trudeau announced on Saturday that all G7 members had endorsed the joint communique; however, he noted that the US tariffs are "insulting" and Canada "will not be pushed around".
Speaking in a solo press conference from the resort town of La Malbaie in Quebec, the president said that for too long, US trade has suffered from "bad" trade deals agreed to by past USA presidents.
"That's what bad-faith Justin Trudeau did with that stunt press conference". He says that we are the problem with tariffs.
He was reacting to Trudeau's declaration that Canadians would "not be pushed around" and would hit back at punishing USA tariffs on metal imports with "equivalent tariffs".
"In a matter of seconds, you can destroy trust with 280 Twitter characters", German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said when asked about Trump's U-turn.
But Trump's combative words at the end of G7 summit is political posturing in advance of the historic summit in Singapore between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Kudlow admitted under questioning by CNN host Jake Tapper. To United States, frankly, it would be a good thing but I'm not looking to do that.
