Manchester United are on the verge of completing a shock deal to sign veteran goakeeper Lee Grant from relegated club Stoke City, as per reports from the Mirror.

Last night we reported that Manchester United were reportedly interested in the Stoke City attacker but it appears this morning that the Premier League giants have serious interest in bringing the Swiss International to Old Trafford ahead of the new season for a cut-price £12m deal.

United sold Sam Johnstone to West Brom in a deal worth around £6.5m earlier on Tuesday, while Portugal youth global Joel Pereira is set to be loaned out for the 2018/19 season.

United were set to lose Dean Henderson this summer.

Lee Grant will undergo a medical at Manchester United at Old Trafford later this week, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
