The Verge disagrees with that verdict, however, arguing that the Surface Go "isn't really a direct iPad competitor" as the sole goal of Apple's device is to serve as a tablet, while the Go is closer to a full computer system. The main highlights of the tablet are its compact design, premium build, and presence of all the features of Microsoft Surface Pro including the PixelSense display, design cues, and an inbuilt kickstand.
Microsoft also said the Surface Go should be good to go 9 hours on a single charge, which the company attributed to the low power sipping qualities of the new 7th gen Intel Gold chip. There are, however, different model specifications with a 4 GB RAM and 8 GB RAM offering, each coming with 64 GB and 128 GB onboard storage respectively.
Trump shares 'very nice note' from Kim Jong Un
The Pentagon has shipped dozens of cases to Panmunjom in anticipation of receiving the remains of several US troops. Trump described the letter as a "very nice note" and said, " Great progress being made! ".
Finding Microsoft's Surface devices too expensive (they are, in fact), Satya Nadella and Co have just decided to make their signature machine one for all. Although smartly marketed as a productivity device flawless for students or people on-the-go, the new Surface Go will also be able to handle some light gaming thanks to the inclusion of Intel HD Graphics 615.
The Surface Go becomes available for preorder starting July 10 and ships this August. You'll have to buy that (along with any other integral Surface accessories) separately - which partially offsets the cheaper price. The new device also sports the Surface Connect port, USB-C 3.1 (for data and charging), a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card reader. The price will help the Surface Go take on Apple's $329 iPad.
Priced at $599 in Australia, the Surface Go is tablet with a 10-inch display. The hinge on the cover extends up to 165 degrees in case you wish to have a larger angle for some studio work or while placing video calls using the Windows Hello camera which also allows you to unlock the Surface Go using your face. That gets buyers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Worth noting: The first Surface Go to hit the market will be Wi-Fi only; a cellular LTE model comes later, at an undisclosed price. We now know that to be the Surface Go and it'll land on 2 August 2018.
