Michael Cohen, former personal attorney to Donald Trump, has traded giving legal advice to the president for seeking legal advice of his own.
Federal agents searched Cohen's home and office in April, and speculation has since mounted that he might turn on Trump and provide evidence to federal officials that could implicate the president or his campaign.
Davis' hiring came just days after Cohen told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America" that his allegiance is to his family.
Giuliani insisted that Mueller's team needs to show Trump's lawyers that there was a legitimate "basis for this investigation", especially since "we now know it was started from biased" roots. "We have no reason to believe he did anything wrong", Giuliani said on ABC's "This Week". Cohen once said on Fox News, "I'll do anything to protect Mr. Trump" - but that no longer appears to be the case.
"The fact that the polls are moving away from Mueller is telling", McCarthy said.
When asked if he's concerned about Cohen potentially cooperating, Giuliani claimed he was not. "I would love to", the president said in May.
Whether Mr. Trump will testify is still an open question, Giuliani told Reid.
