According to USA Today, he'll cap things off by marking the first Barack Obama Day on Saturday, as the legislature in his former home state of IL passed a law past year to designate August 4 as a commemorative holiday to celebrate the 44th president.
The "birth certificate" reference in the fake Obama tweet was also a callback to Trump's longtime promotion of the "birther" conspiracy theory, which claimed that Obama was not born in the US and consequently ineligible to be president. He served two terms as president, from January 20, 2009, until January 20, 2017. Last year, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner signed the bill into law.
During his tenure, Obama championed marriage equality, regulated against LGBTQ-based employment discrimination, and created protections for gay and transgender students. Saturday also happens to be his 57th birthday.
