Oculus is releasing a new version of their VR device in 2019.
It is completely wireless, portable, supports six degrees of freedom and allows for users to move in a virtual space.
The Oculus Quest will launch in Spring 2019 for $399. This figure is well under what many VR fans expected the standalone HMD to cost, particularly in knowing that the headset is aiming for Rift-quality experiences.
Within Insight, there is also a feature called Guardian that is created to avoid users from bumping into walls or other objects that might be on users way when they used Quest.
Oculus Quest will not require a PC, wires, or external sensors to work. The device also features full roomscale tracking and PC-like motion controls.
Using Oculus Quest in the demo, the experience looked like a pencil-traced view of the real world, with virtual objects floating in.
