0-100km/h will be done in 3.9 seconds, which is 0.2s slower than the coupe.
BMW said the M850i xDrive Convertible will sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds, or about 0.2 seconds slower than the coupe, and both models are said to be capabke of reaching a governed top speed of 155 miles per hour. That's because additional reinforcement is required to make bodies of convertibles stiffer than their coupes stablemates. The intelligent transmission also takes input from the navigation system to improve efficiency and driving dynamics based on the route. Other highlights include an optional active roll stabilization system and a standard M Sport braking system with blue calipers.
Since the M850i has been created to slot underneath the M8 Convertible, the auto has been equipped with an assortment of performance features. Punched-in doors smoothly flare out into a hefty rear, which is characterized by slim horizontal LED taillamps, angular aero, and aggressive dual exhaust outlets.
The four-seater cabriolet has a soft-top roof with fully electric operation, opening and closing at the touch of a button and when traveling at up to 50km/h (31mph).

In a later tweet in May, he blamed himself for over-reliance on automation, saying " Humans are underrated ". In fact, it took the company until the last week of June to reach that production number in a single week.
The convertible has two invisible features not found in the coupe.
The second feature is a little less serious. During colder months, you should still be able to drive around with the top down thanks to the neck warmers that are integrated into front headrests. Air can be adjusted to three different settings or to an automatic mode that adjusts flow based on vehicle speed.
Regarding the interior, the convertible is nearly identical to the coupe. This means the interior will feature BMW's new OS7.0 infotainment along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. In comparison, the hardtop will go on sale in December starting at $111,900 before destination. The first examples of these droptops will roll into dealers in the United States in March 2019 at a base price of $121,400, plus an additional $995 destination fee.
