Prescott is the future of the Cowboys' future at quarterback, whether fans are happy about it or not.
That's happening a lot these days.
Mariota converted two third-and-9s with passes and a shorter third down with a run on his first TD drive, setting the stage for the Titans to convert 11 of 14 third downs.
That argument has some merit. He also has a keen eye for when to back and when to fade Dallas, evidenced by his strong 17-8 run on all his picks involving the Cowboys. It was the quarterback who failed to stem the tide for this struggling bunch, just as he did in the final five minutes of the team's loss to Washington 15 days earlier.
"We've got to do better and it starts with me".
I am going with a NO here.
Dallas finds itself two games below.500 for the first time since the end of the 2015 season. By the end of the third quarter, the "Coooop" had turned to boos.
Star Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott finished with 61 yards after a hot start. The Cowboys don't have a first round pick in the upcoming draft.
Amari Cooper has a solid chance to be a legend in Dallas. "In each of those cases, you want him to let the play die, live for a third down or punt the ball and go to the next one".

He threw the ball over Cooper in the process.
Kevin Byard celebrated an interception against the Cowboys in an interesting way Monday.

George Teague famously knocked Owens off the star back then, and Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones made a similar move on Byard and the group that joined the celebration.
Tennessee took over on the 20-yard line.
The Titans have not really been that prolific in the passing game this season.
"That was the difference, simple as that", Prescott said.
"One thing that defensively that we try to uphold is creating turnovers", Jones said.
"It's a 14-point swing". Rather than accept the loss, Prescott tried to make something out of nothing. But Prescott gave up an interception and a fumble that contributed to an overall dud of a night on offense.
Prescott fumbled again on this night.
Dallas forced another golden opportunity on the next Tennessee drive, when Mariota fumbled at the 38-yard line and Jaylon Smith recovered.
