Despite the fact that many fans expected Blizzard to announce PC-related Diablo project (new game or remaster), the USA company unveiled a mobile game - Diablo Immortal. "Immortal will feel familiar and intuitive to both today's mobile gaming audience and those who played Diablo on console".
Now, you probably wonder just how social Diablo Immortal will be. The controls look to be mostly barebones, as is expected from a mobile title but the developers do say everything will work as effortlessly as it would with a controller or keyboard and mouse. If you use it, it will apparently summon a "portal to untold riches".
"Our mobile phones are super powerful super computers", Blizzard's Wyatt Cheng said.
The story of Diablo Immortal is set between the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo II. Heck, we might even see some classes (and class abilities) that have never been in a Diablo game. Dropping in and out of groups will be done seamlessly so it sounds like it'll be a true drop-in drop-out kind of game. According to Blizzard, more playable classes will be added in future updates. From those skills, you'll be able to choose five which will be assigned to an active skill button.

Many people assumed the teases were for an inevitable Diablo 4 announcement, but Blizzard tried to temper that expectation a couple weeks ago. (An iOS version of the game was also announced, though no iOS listing for the game yet exists.) Blizzard did not announce information about the game's pricing structure or release window.
