Not known for his scrambling ability, and often losing yards due to game-ending kneel-downs, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally reached a milestone he has joked about several times this season: 1,000 rushing yards.
On Instagram Monday, the Patriot quarterback said he could call it a career after reaching the milestone he most coveted.
A lot was said before, during and after Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings.
"HE DID IT" they crowed in post after after Brady, under pressure in the pocket on a third-down with three yards to go play, shot through an opening to pick up a first down. I'll learn from that obviously in this league, there's cameras everywhere and they'll catch everything. Hopefully I can make a couple of plays running for it. "It really hasn't been a part of my game". "That's it. I'm out".
Tsunami warning after earthquake off Pacific island
The magnitude 7.5 quake hit in the afternoon near New Caledonia at a shallow depth, where earthquakes are generally more damaging. This advisory has been issued to all local Civil Defence authorities, emergency services, other agencies and media.
As Brady got into his vehicle, he shut the trolling down and said there's still work to do.
But then Brady, who threw his first interception in five games but wasn't sacked for the second straight week, started to stretch the field vertically with Gordon as the Patriots scored on back-to-back possessions bridging the third and fourth quarters to open up a 24-10 lead.
Brady had spoken lightheartedly of late of chasing the 1,000-yard rushing mark, but he downplayed the moment after the game. Including playoffs, that is 579 touchdowns for Brady, which ties him with Peyton Manning for most all time.
