An old photo of Joy Behar dressed as a "beautiful African woman" on Halloween has resurfaced. This triggered Behar to show off a photo of her 29-year-old self in the controversial costume, proudly boasting about her natural curls and how "cute" she was.
"That's my hair!" Behar said, pushing the conversation about her hair during the segment.
At the time, the crowd and her co-hosts seemed to enjoy the blast from the past, but former cast member Raven Simone poked a bit of fun at the inappropriate moment.
Raven-Symoné then asked whether Behar had worn tanning lotion for the occasion, and Behar explained that "I only had makeup that was a little bit darker than my skin".

Dow Jones had reported that the talks next week would be led by Mr Mnuchin and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer . He said Lighthizer told senators that purchases of agricultural products looked to remain a sticking point.
"Is that you, Joy?"
Messages seeking comment were not returned from Behar's agent and the ABC program.
The Wrap notes the discussion on set in 2016 was sparked after Behar wrote a New York Times op-ed touting the benefits of naturally curly hair. The curly hair was all her own.
Gov. Ralph Northam apologized after a photo featuring a man in blackface and another dressed in KKK robes from his medical school yearbook page emerged last week. That was followed by the state's Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring, who had called on Northam to resign, putting out a statement Wednesday admitting that he also wore blackface in college. Conservative blogger Matt Walsh wrote, "Megyn Kelly was sacked from her show for asking a hypothetical question about blackface".
Critics are calling for co-host Joy Behar to be fired because of a 2016 clip from the show circulating on social media. "Joy Behar actually wore blackface, and admitted it, and showed a picture of it on TV, yet she still has her job". "Joy, are you black?"
