Some reports have claimed that the Stamford Bridge outfit have already made contact with Zinedine Zidane and the manager has laid down three conditions which if fulfilled will prompt him to move to London.
Zidane, who won three Champions League titles in a row while Real Madrid manager, would be interested in attempting to turn the Blues back into contenders at home and overseas if the club can match his own ambition.
Current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is struggling to adapt in England and has been met with heavy criticism after some woeful displays from his side, who sit sixth and 15 points off league leaders Manchester City and Liverpool.
The former Real Madrid player and manager has had a highly successful managerial career with the Spanish giants which saw him win numerous accolades, most prestigiously three consecutive UEFA Champions Leagues.
Russia: Vladimir Putin threatens to target U.S. over missiles based in Europe
As far as missiles aimed at Europe, "Putin reiterated Russia's not-to-be-first-to-deploy position, which is unilateral restraint". With a second pact covering nuclear weapons likely to expire in two years, the risks of confrontation are growing.
They are that Eden Hazard signs a new Chelsea contract, that Zidane is given £200m to spend - and more if players are sold - and that he has a major say in recruitment alongside Blues director Marina Granovskaia.
Should Sarri leave his position then one man in the frame for a switch to the Bridge would be Zinedine Zidane, but according to The Sun the former Real Madrid boss will only join the club if he can have a host of demands adhered to.
He would also want a £200million transfer fund to improve the current Chelsea squad.
Time will tell on whether Zidane will replace Sarri, who has until the end of the season to turn things around and push Chelsea into a Champions League place.
